About the little couple:
Dianna’s pet name for Steve has always been Hobbit. It's quite a fitting nickname for them as you will all know, they are small, lead a mostly simple life, and really like to eat!
When Dianna and Steve were married, they each read out vows that had been written in private. Here they are:

When we first met, I never could have imagined that I would be here 18 months later, making the most important commitment of my life.
The woman I met was exciting, unique, stunningly beautiful, and I knew I wanted to know her better. Well, I guess I got my wish, because the woman standing in front of me is exciting, unique, stunningly beautiful, and I’m going to have all the time in the world to know her better!
I know in some ways we are very different people, but it seems that in the ways that really matter we are the same. You opened your heart to me. I opened my heart to you. And they fit so well.
I want you and everyone here to understand that I come here with no regrets, no illusions, and absolutely certain that you are the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. I have no doubts that together we have the strength, tenacity, tolerance, and love to handle anything and everything life throws at us.

You are my only love. You make me proud, you make me happy, you make me feel safe, and when I look at you , I believe that you love me as much as I love you, and that is completely.
Today we are about to embark on one of life’s greatest and most important journeys. And I have no doubt that this is exactly the right thing to do.
You are the most amazing person I have ever met. Your honesty, your intelligence, your love, your twisted sense of humour, and your magnificent strength; are merely a part of the many reasons I want to walk by you for the rest of our lives.
I dedicate all that I am to you, and I am determined to work through whatever the future may throw at us.
So today, as we face the rest of our lives together, and become one, I want you to know, its no longer all about me... From this day forward its all about us.

Ten (?) reasons why I love my Hobbit:
- Because he doesn't pick on me when I do silly pleb things like mispronounce Linux.
- Because he has the most wonderful giggle that tickles me over every atom of my body...
- Because he is the most tolerant man I have ever met (yet still not a pushover, so this is quite an accomplishment)
- Because he laughs at the same morbid and sardonic things that I do.
- Because he doesn't think I am crazy.
- Because he isn't trying to change me.
- Because I do not want to change him.
- Because he is willing to tolerate my road trips, horrible droning lesbian music, singing loudly and WAY off key, and hassling his driving... this list could go on.
- Because he does not do all of the self destructive and obsessive things I have had to tolerate in the past.
- Because he likes mushrooms as much as I do.
- Because he tolerates my venom when I say nasty things I don't mean to try in a little way to scare him off because its way strange to be so completely happy.
- Because he is easy to admire in his work ethic and the way he conducts himself with his friends, and ex-girlfriends, and family, and everyone else except telemarketers and sales people apparently.
- Because he is little and fits really nice beside me when I need a cuddle.
- Because he calls me princess.
- Because he speaks the truth and is not caught up in niceties or platitudes or shallow flattery.
- Because its adorable when he swears... not sure why, but its really cute.
- Because he explains things about things I would like to understand so I can actually understand them.
- Because he doesn't mind that I am a bit spoiled.
- Because he knows that I have a big heart, and doesn't seem to want to break it...
- Because he tolerates my dog.
- Because he says funny things about babies, knowing full well I adore them... like calling them squawkers and things...
- Because he doesn't like blonde girls.
- Because he can act like a grown up, but still knows how to be silly and act childish and carefree with me.
- Because he can cry and let me be there if he does.
- Because he smells really nice.
- Because he lets me call him hobbit.
- Because he doesn't smother me.
- Because he takes one day at a time.
- Because he has agreed to pay undivided attention to me occasionally (when it does not interfere with his schedule).
